The idea of this project is based on the NASA Curiosity rover, and with it we have tested the actual functionality using robotic software and hardware simulation. We worked with a functional robotic model of the ExoMars rover, to create a program for collision-avoidance strategies, for educational purposes.

This project is solving the ExoMars Rover is My Robot challenge.

Description

Our approach and solution to the challenge was redesigning a 3D rover model in SolidWorks, a hardware test and simulation in MatLab Simulink and developing an executable code on the LabView FPGA platform. With this synergic integration we have created a semi-autonomous rover.
