Conception of an application that shows how large scale air quality events relate to daily Air Quality Index (AQI) data . The system retrieves the informations and extract the necessary elements such as the level of the ozone layer, the direction of the air at this time, the pollution particles, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen dioxide. A new AQI is then calculated and compared to normal range of AQI. We then display the event that cause an eventual AQI Change.

This project is solving the AirNow International Transport App (ANITA) challenge.

Description

The Air quality Index show us how clean or polluted our air is and what associated health effects might be a concern for us.

Our applcation must provide real time air Quality Index observetion and forcecast to help inform, and prevent the population about the quality of the air the breath.

How Will the implementation work?

The system sends a command to the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCRA) to retrieve the composition of the air in the environment in question. The NRCA returns information. The connection between the application and the NCRA may be available through the NCRA regularly informs the movement and composition of air electronic unit. The system retrieves the information in packets and extract the necessary elements such as the level of the ozone layer, the direction of the air at this time, the pollution particles, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen dioxide. The system will show the people the influence of these gasses on life.

With recovered data, calculating the new system Index Air Quality. He compares this to the index of Air Quality in normal time which is already known Between 30 and 40. If the result exceeds a certain threshold relative to the normal index, the system must know the event which is the cause. To do this it sends a query to NASA satellite system asking the event that occurred in this environment in a time surrounding the exact time the Index has changed. The system retrieves this information and make a meaningful analysis and shows the movement of the air at the time of the pollution and the event which was in origin. For a meaningful analysis offering us this application is oriented Artificial Intelligence. The data can be visualized on dynamic graphs generated by the system.

Feasibility. The system is an application that connects to two other external main systems: - National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) HYSPLIT air mass trajectories. This system is supposed to have an electronic unit sending data to the application. NASA is well equipped and has a lot of tool in this direction. - The Satellite System Nasa. There's plenty of it already available to NASA applications that retrieve and use data provided by satellites. The application can then build on existing systems. - Interactive Satellite Tracker (science.nasa.gov / isat) - NASA App for Smartphones and Tablets
