Our project includes prototype of low cost sensor kit that measures temperature and humidity. To process and transmit the data from the sensors we are using Arduino Mega 2526. This hardware part works with software platform connected over the internet. The web page has a friendly interface which enables easy access for common people around the world to monitor the urban heat island. The web page contains graphs, map and a brief text about this effect and tips how to treat its impact.This project is solving the Cool it! challenge. Description
The main goal of this project is to expand global knowledge about heat island effect and it's impact to people's health. The idea is to create friendly application witch shows us drastic difference between living conditions in rural and urban areas. The more explicit the pictures and the content are, the more we can increase people's awareness.
