satellite-tracker

This project is solving the Pilot a Satellite! challenge.

We are a group of enthusiastic students from Rajagiri School Of Engineering & Technology currently undergoing 2nd year B.Tech in Computer Science. Our application is Satellite Tracker.

Satellite Tracker is a real-time simulation of all tracked artificial satellites currently in Earth orbit. Orbital TLE information is obtained daily from Celestrak and processed for display. In simple words, it allows you to simulate the current position of the satellite... it is a web app created in node.js.... It is currently hosted at-http://satellite-tracker.herokuapp.com. You can view the full site there....

We have also created an android app for Satellite Tracking which is based on Augmented Reality model.... It takes into account your current position, magnetic coordinates(ie. Compass values) and calculates the current position of satellites from your perspective and displays on the map... You can also point your camera at the sky and view which satellites are in that direction currently....

Its available at :https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.inzanedesignerz.satellitetracker

Download and learn all about satellites...

We were to include more features in our android app like- Displaying the satellite details on selection Tracking the stars in the night sky View of the space from the perspective of the satellite... etc... All these are based on open-source projects....
