An educational tool to help with learning orbital mechanics. When humanity goes to space "en masse", controlling spacecraft will become a required, common skill, much like driving a car is today. However, motion in orbit is not intuitive. Therefore, Orbital Academy uses a series of lessons and interactive exercises to teach the fundamental concepts - orbital motion, orbital elements, transfers, intercepts, rendezvous etc.This project is solving the Pilot a Satellite! challenge. When humanity goes to space "en masse", controlling spacecraft will become a required, common skill, much like driving a car is today. However, motion in orbit is not intuitive. Therefore, Orbital Academy uses a series of lessons and interactive exercises to teach the fundamental concepts - orbital motion, orbital elements, transfers, intercepts, rendezvous etc.
After graduating from Orbital Academy, a person at a high-school level of education should be able to understand orbital parameters and be able to plan various propulsive maneuvers in space.
