exo-explorers-

We are creating a robot helper which will serve as an addition to the Exo Mars robot itself. It uses two Arduino boards as micro controllers which are connected via NRF transceivers, thus enabling wireless communication. The rover uses first person view technology (CCTV) so its movement can be controlled through a monitor which is connected to a camera on the rover. This robot will serve as a scout for the Exo Mars rover by scanning and preparing for the environment.

This project is solving the ExoMars Rover is My Robot challenge.

Description

The aim is to introduce the features and capabilities as well as the target of the Exo Mars robot in a small scale model to the general public. Our rover could be used for educational purposes as well as serving as a helping hand for the Exo Mars rover. The ability to bring the science and aim of NASA as an organization, to the hand of the common person will enhance the eagerness of the human beings for exploring science. By this we will make a step forward in the solution of the global crisis of people unwilling to learn science. Every step forward might seem insignificant to us but, as it was once said by one of your members, it will be a small step for men, but it will be a huge step for mankind because if each and every one of us tried to bring science closer to the people we will make this world a better place and we will be close to reaching the culmination of mankind as a race, which we think is only possible with proper education and willingness to learn.
